EXHIBITION - SATURDAY 16 JANUARY TO SATURDAY 27TH FEBRUARY
The role of Wales within the Spanish Civil War. Wise and Foolish Dreamers is a touring exhibition which looks especialy at the contribution of the Welshmen who went to fight in Spain. Issues of governance, the role of the war, the nature of the heroic nationalism and our relations with peoples across the globe are all examined.

Christian Aid are organising are Pancake Evening at 7pm in aid of Christian Aid. Including a talk by Christian Aid's Anna Jane Evans. A Fairtrade stall will also be there.

DENBIGH TOWN HALL - 'RURAL RUMBLE' - 6.30pm
Britannia Wrestling Promotions 'Rural Rumble' event. The Superstars of the BWP with be battling it out in a 20 man over the top rope rumble main event as well as several other matches throughout the 2 hour show. In addition to the main event there will be a BWP World Catchweight Title match between current champion, from Mexico, The Lethal Luchador El Destello as he takes on his opponent in a Denbigh Street Fight, which is guaranteed to be hard hitting action! If that wasnt enough, there will also be a Fatal 4-Way match to determine the new number 1 contender for the BWP championship gold and much, much more!
The doors will be open at 6.30pm with the first bell at 7.30pm - this hard hitting live action lasts for approximately 2 hours and is a guaranteed great night out for the whole family. DENBIGH TOWN SQUARE - ST DAVID'S DAY FESTIVAL
The first of the year’s festivals promises to kick off with a bang with displays of spectacular axework by Simon Belfield and the Clwyd Axemen whose skills will perfectly complement the woodland crafts of the Bodfari Charcoal Company and Mandy Coates - Basket Weaver.
There will also be music with the acclaimed Denbigh Stones performing live plus other local musicians, alongside Clog Dancers from Ysgol Heulfre, dancing from Adele Meads and Janes School of Dance, singing from Ysgol Twm o'r Nant, while themed St David’s Day competitions are being organised for children from local schools including a Denbigh Photograph Competition - 6 winners will have their pictures made into Denbigh Postcards. Plus Sali Mali and Sam Tan – Fireman Sam - will both put in an appearance.
There will be a food and crafts market with a selection of some of the finest local foodstuffs on display including honey, bread and cakes, preserves, cheeses and meat while the air will be thick with the mouthwatering aroma of a hog roast laid on by local butcher John Williams, of Vale Street.
Denbigh really does have a lot to offer and we will be making the most of that with story-teller and entertainer Ruth Moore-Williams in attendance on the day and guided tours involving the historic castle and the town walls.
